INFO:
A Bill of Lading (B/L or BoL) is the most important document used in the import/export process. Read more https://incodocs.com/blog/bill-of-lading-in-international-trade-shipments/ This document used in International Trade provides 'title' as to who legally owns the cargo. It acts as evidence of contract of carriage, receipt of goods and document of title to the goods. When goods have been shipped, the carrier of goods (shipping line) will issue the Bill of Lading to the shipper of goods. When the shipper's terms as met (i.e. buyer has paid balance payment) then the shipper will 'surrender' the original Bill of Ladings to the carrier. The carrier can then issue an 'Express Release' or 'Telex Release' B/L. The shipper will then send a set of shipping documents to the consignee (usually the buyer) which will allow them to arrange the import customs clearance and final delivery. Exporters use https://incodocs.com/ to create and share export documentation.
